Just finished Johnny Nothing. Absolutely loved it, but rather than ramble on here as to why, I’m sure you’d rather me just get on and write and post a review instead…
Cheers,
Paul…

Hi Paul. Thanks. So glad you liked it. Made me very happy before I retire for bed. Would be very grateful if you could review on Amazon. Thanks. Ian

Up and posted. Will write it up as a blog post and post that too with a bit of bio and my own usual intro blurb, and few links to your other works…

Looks more work than it was – just the culmination of the notes I jotted down while reading it. And besides, gives me enough material for a blog post too, so thanks…

I’m interested in the Boxing pieces. I was obsessed with the art of boxing. I’d still be if the ‘cage’ and rising of Don King hadn’t taken place. Hemingway also liked boxing. Do you enjoy Hemingway?

Yes I do admire Hemingway a great deal. He’s a big influence on me in my writing, probably for his simplicity. I always have one eye on making things as simple as possible. I’m a big fan of Hugh McIlvanney too.

He’s the teacher I look to the most. I’m sure I’m not alone in that. Out of your work, which would you recommend I read?

Impressive list. And reading assignment. At least the books.. How else am I to get to know your artistry as a writer without sampling the goods? (did that sound as off to you as it does to me??)
