Slightly off my usual topic. Was commissioned to produce a tiled pattern for a book. Created it in Adobe Illustrator, which is my favourite program. This was a tricky one, being that each of the squared patterns that you see were rotated and flipped in relation to each other. Getting it to tile was difficult. In the end I abandoned Illustrator’s new Pattern feature and went back to the old way of using an invisible square sent to the back of the objects to act as a clipping path.
